Consultation with the six sites, professional bodies and rural health practitioners has been a crucial component in the development of the rural Health Professional Development Programme, and will continue to be in order that the programme evolves.  Consequently the Rural Health Development manager maintains regular contact with each of the six sites to acertain the educational and clinical training needs.


The content of all the training programmes will, as aforementioned, be determined by the attendees.  However MSS has collaborated with a variety of health professional bodies, tertiary academic institutions and health professional educators in order to develop a portfolio of educators from a variety of health professional backgrounds.
